According to the given important infrastructural elements, this project is unprecedented in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The 9-kilometer-long and 15-meter-diameter tunnel, envisaged by the project, is also unprecedented. The tunnel boring machine TBM, specially made for its construction, is already in Georgia and being transported in the direction of Kobi.<\/p>\n<p>The project envisages the construction of a total of 23 kilometers long of asphalt-concrete road, 5 bridges, 5 tunnels and the rehabilitation of 1 bridge.
