With the support and organizing of the Kvesheti-Kobi New Road Project, the residents of Khada Valley underwent free medical prophylactic examinations within the framework of the Local Support and Social Protection Program. This was reported to Interpressnews by the Roads Department of Georgia.<\/p>\n

According to them, doctors of the Konstantine Eristavi National Center of Experimental and Clinical Surgery visited the valley. They continue to provide free medical examinations across the country under the slogan “Take Care of Your Health Together”.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe following profile doctors provided free consultations to the population at Kvesheti outpatient center: General Surgeon, Angiosurgeon, Urologist, Gynecologist, Traumatologist, Ophthalmologist, Therapist, Cardiologist, Neuropathologist, Endocrinologist. Ultrasound and cardiology examinations, blood glucose tests, and ophthalmoscopic examinations were also performed free of charge as needed.<\/p>\n

In addition, another medical group from Tbilisi consulted those patients in homes who, for some reason, are unable to move. As part of the campaign, patients were given medicines according to the doctor’s prescription.\u201d<\/p>\n

As it is mentioned in the information, more than 70 beneficiaries took part in the action, In total. Beneficiaries were identified in a preliminary survey conducted by the Regional Development Youth Center in Khada Valley.<\/p>\n

“It is very important for these people to receive this type of service, because they often do not have the opportunity to do so. Due to the lack of roads, most of the population of Khada Valley does not have access to social services, including, for example, medical services. The new Kvesheti-Kobi road, along with many other problems, will fully address this issue as well. Before that, during the project, we will try to help the people living here with similar actions” said Alexander Tevdoradze, Deputy Chairman of the Roads Department of Georgia.<\/p>\n

According to the Roads Department, the action is part of the pensioner\u2019s support program, which was implemented with the direct involvement of the Department of Regional Relations of the Government of Georgia.<\/p>\n
